How to avoid no shows

To help our teachers in executing the successful completion of their assigned trial classes, and to avoid loss of time for the student and teacher through No show's we have some quick and easy recommendations.

Recommendations for avoiding missed trial classes/No Shows:

  1. Before entering the trial class, double-check the platform requested by the student to ensure you are waiting for them in the right place (Skype/Zoom)
  2. Upon receiving confirmation of a trial class, email out to the student with a short introduction and confirming the platform to be used for the trial class and the meeting link for zoom if needed.
  3. Wait at least 15 mins for students to show up - once 15 minutes have passed you can leave the class and assume they will not turn up.
  4. Keep an eye on your emails around the class start time in case the student reaches out to you via that means.
  5. Do not log the trial class as a No Show right away, we would recommend waiting for a minimum of 2 hours before doing so. This will allow us time to receive and process any emails we have received to reschedule or cancel the class, or for you to check your emails in case they have contacted you there.

As always we greatly appreciate your assistance with this and if you have any suggestions or recommendations you are willing to share to help with this situation we'd love to hear from you.
