How do we select our teachers?

Yes, we may be biased, but at Live Lingua, we think our teachers are the best.

Our recruitment process is fairly rigorous and we require all our teachers to:

  • be a native speaker of the language they teach (this helps students get accustomed to real accents and gain additional insights into the countries culture)
  • have a degree level qualification that certifies them as a teacher of their language for foreigners
  • have a minimum of 2 years experience working as a teacher 

That said many of our teachers have additional qualifications including Master's degrees and Ph.D.'s, often in specialist subjects such as linguistics or literature, which add additional notches to their bow's.

We also ensure all our teachers complete our internal teaching style quiz, this gives us a great insight into their teaching methodologies and helps us ensure we match you the student with the right teacher for you.

Newly hired teachers are trained in our Live Lingua best practices as part of our onboarding process.

Once hired, teachers can count on being supported by our team of class coordinators and the academic department.
