So you need to cancel a class with a student, here's a useful email template that your can copy, paste and edit when you let them know:

Dear {STUDENT FIRST NAME},

I hope you are well.

I am reaching out to let you know that unfortunately, I am unable to cover the class we had arranged for {day/time}.

So sorry for the inconvenience.

I {select as needed - had a family emergency, had some technical problems, lost internet, have been feeling unwell, etc} and have therefore canceled the class on my schedule. 

I'd like to propose we reschedule the class for {date/time}. Would that work for you? If not feel free to schedule another class on my calendar via your student dashboard.
